Preventing Colds & Flu For Students in Grades K-3; A Presentation Kit
(95797)R
For presenting to early-elementary-school children
(ages 5-8)
Like all our group presentations for children, "Preventing Colds & Flu For Students in Grades K-3; A Presentation Kit" is specially tailored for appeal and effectiveness with young audiences.
Even children who are too young to read can learn and practice established infection-control techniques; important skills for protecting health in a normal flu and cold season and essential skills for protecting health when facing a potential flu pandemic.
Our presentations for children have several features that differ from presentations for adults, teens, and preteens:
- The CD contains a 20-minute version of Part 1, a 20-minute version of Part 2, and a 35-minute version with Parts 1 and 2 combined.
- This two-part format allows presenters additional flexibility: Sections can be presented together or on different days.
- Animation and 10-15 minutes of interactive exercises that entertain and educate help keep children's attention directed to the PowerPoint show.
The presentation quickly and clearly covers:
- the basics on cold and flu viruses and their connection with illness
- how germs travel
- ways to stop the spread of germs: hand washing and covering coughs and sneezes properly
- how and when: proper hand washing and an alcohol-based hand washing alternative
- how to live a healthy lifestyle
Package also includes 50 copies of the workbook "Know What?® We Fight Germs" (95006)B.
